J& M was a great place to buy a car. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, but Bob specifically helped us as we bought a car. He immediately helped us narrow down the cars to what we wanted and we had picked a car within n half hour - test drive & all. He was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and all around great to work with. We arrived at J & M at a little after 3 and are leaving now (6 pm) with our car :). I would HIGHLY recommend Bob & J&M Auto.

J&M has a wide variety of cars and excellent customer service. Luckily, I had Vinny helping me and he made sure I found the best car in my price range. My husband and I were extremely satisfied with the excellent service we received at J&M Automotive. In purchasing a vehicle, this experience was the most pleasant and efficient transaction we’ve ever had. Vinny really went above and beyond what was necessary in making us feel comfortable during the entire process. We would definitely go back to J&M and to Vinny the next time we need a car! The atmosphere at this dealership was very upbeat, with all the employees interacting with customers as well as each other, in a relaxed and cordial manner each time we went into the office. I’ve rarely seen this level of teamwork in a car dealership and we feel very fortunate to have had the chance to buy our car here. Had a great experience with Bob Russo and the J&M team. Bob is the best sales agent I have ever had during a car buying process, he made me feel welcome and showed all the details of which the dealer do for each car and customer no matter your level of income or choice of vehicle. All the vehicles go through a detailed safety inspection before the keys are handed to you, my vehicle was inspected and they fixed areas I wanted to fixed and that sold me to do business with Bob and J and M automotive. I tried leaving a review on your website unfortunately it did not work. I worked with Mike to get into the car I wanted for a reasonable price. He remained attentive, responsive, respectful, and honest. Mike was willing to work with me rather than against me and made the whole experience comfortable. The car has yet to stand the test of time but assuming it does I will be back when I next need a car!

J&M automotive is a great dealership. They gave me more for my trade then the dealerships would. And have very competitive pricing. Steve G is the one that helped me, and he’s very good at getting back to you with info. And is a very pleasant person to work with. 10/10 I would recommend j&m auto!!!!

This is the second car we purchased at J and M and had excellent experiences both times. They are knowledgeable and professional. My experience at j&m today was amazing to say the least! I have been shopping around for a newer truck for work. My family has had good experience working with Bob in the past, so he was our first choice when it came time to seek out a friendly, patient and knowledgeable salesperson. Bob, spent time walking around the lot with me, listening to my preferences. What I liked best was, I felt no pressure from Bob to purchase something I didn’t want or need. He let me choose exactly what interested me and worked hard to make it financially affordable for me as well. I highly recommend Bob and J &M for an above average car buying experience!! We went to see a completely different car than what we purchased and we didn't even expect to make a purchase the same day. Bob even sat in the car we saw online to see if my partner would fit in it as they are more or less the same height. Bob was patient and kind and very informative as my partner and I had a lot of questions. He showed us a few cars and one caught our eye in the lot and he let us take it for a spin. It was love at first drive! Al took care of the financials and helped us find a great financing option. They were great! Totally recommend!

Went in looking and was taken in right away. Explained the situation and Mike knew exactly what to do ! He was knowledgeable and understanding. Felt a positive vibe and that’s the first time ever with a sales person at any dealership I’ve been to in the past. We seen what we wanted we told him and test drove all within a hour of being there. Financing process easy and simple. Customer service is excellent friendly and prompt. Showroom is immaculate, beautiful thriving plants and comfortable waiting area. The selection is huge ! My wife’s 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe needed service done 40 days after purchase. We had it towed to J & M. They promptly got the car into service, stood by their 60 day warranty and took care of everything. They had the car warming up on a very chilly morning when I arrived to pick it up. Rich in service was very communicative and kind when discussing what service the car needed. We thought our car buying process was easy. . . service repair was even easier! We will highly recommend J & M to everyone we know.

I truly had an amazing experience from start to finish. AMY was amazing throughout the whole process and remained in constant communication with me. Everyone at J & M Auto was amazing... from the warm welcome when we came in to our salesman Vinny to our finance representative Steve. We saw the car on line and called J & M.. Vinny was nice enough to hold the car for us for a few hours until we could come and see it! Loved the personal feeling we got when dealing with Vinny and Steve. Both made us feel great! We had just had our new car totalled a few days before coming in and were feeling a bit down, Vinny and Steve hooked us up with a beautiful Jeep, and a great deal!!! Thank you J&M!!! Will definitely recommend to friends and family!! PS the showroom is decorated for Christmas and looks amazing!!!

My car died in October and I was stressing about having to find another one. I purchased my car one week ago. From the moment I walked into J&M Auto for the first time, I was impressed by the amount of cars they have, how clean, bright and organized the space was and how busy and happy everyone was. They do customer service right...coffee, TV, clean rest rooms, lots of comfy chairs for waiting. Reception was helpful and led me to a monitor to research their inventory. My salesperson Mike, was kind and accommodating and kept me in the loop throughout the purchase process. The guys in finance answered all of my questions and took their time with me. Totally painless experience - I would buy from J&M again!

Bought my car from Jonathan a few days ago and I love it. Jonathan was absolultey amazing to work with. At our initial meeting, I had a list of cars I thought i wanted to look at, but after taking the time to get to know my needs he brought me a car (not on list) that was absolutely perfect. The process took longer than expected due to issues on my end and Jonathan remained patient, understanding and professional throughout the entire process. Now i have a better car than I could have imagined and I couldn’t be happier! J&M should be proud of the way Jonathan represented their company.

Steve is great. Shopping for a Tacoma in these times is tough but Steve was very professional and fair. Buying was a breeze. Had some bad experiences at other used car dealerships when searching but this place is no-nonsense. I would recommend other people I know coke here to buy a vehicle.

I have had the unfortunate necessity of needing to replace three vehicles this year, and Jonathan and his crew here have NAILED IT. They found me what I needed, and got it all signed, sealed, delivered in a timely and professional fashion. Any issues I had after delivery were also handled impressively well. I’ll never look for a pre owned vehicle anywhere else. They have the inventory, and they take care of their clients. 100% recommend this place. I’m also pleased to add they have navigated the post-apocalyptic world flawlessly. Prices are high and good vehicles are hard to find all over the place, but Jonathan and his team did not disappoint on any front. Job well done!

Came here on a recommendation by a family member after a recent accident where I was rear-ended on the highway and totaled and were not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and they have a seamless and honest buying process. Prices are as-is and they walk you through the inspection and maintenance process from start to finish (there is a dealer fee and tax not included in list price but they explain that). Given the headache that car buying is, this place made it at least a little enjoyable. They have a huge inventory that turns weekly. Definitely best selection in the area. 20/10 recommend!

These guys are good. It's used car sales, but they are actually pleasant to deal with. They can deal with you at negotiating a reasonable price. My guy is Vinnie, since 2012, he's been great to deal with. Enjoy Florida, my friend. Good deals on good used cars, safety inspected, will get in top of issues with your car after it's sold (check engine lite, "funny knock" etc) pretty good financing terms. Easy to get to, off CT Rt. 8, Naugatuck.

I’ve bought THREE cars from j&m and my family has bought multiple cars as well. My second car had a tire pressure light come on few days after buying it and I brought it back to service and they fixed the problem same day! They have excellent customer service. Vinny was my sales rep and he was beyond excellent! Everyone who helped with the process was great! I highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from here. They have never failed me!

Just finished up purchasing my 2012 Subaru with Steve and Sue’s help and I have to say that this was by far one of the easiest car buying experiences that I have ever been through. 39k on the car, I basically just was able to purchase an affordable car that’s brand new without the brand new expense lol. Both Sue and Steve were in communication with me the entire process and answered every question I had every step of the way. Very easy process taken care of by professional staff. Deal was done and I even got the car earlier than expected! However I would have held off a day if that meant it got cleaned. Vehicle was not detailed and their J&M sticker left a full rectangle of residue on the rear hatch of the vehicle. But otherwise great experience

Just bought a F-150 from J&M, had a great and absolutely painless truck shopping/buying experience. Worked with Jonathan who was professional and a great all-around guy, not the type of pushy sales person that I had expected to deal with when buying a used truck. Steve was great also getting our payment and warranty details squared away. We purchased our second vehicle from J&M yesterday. The second vehicle we originally wanted to buy, led to miscommunication which ultimately left us very disappointed with J&M. I spoke with the the sales rep, manager, and owner, explaining my frustration. At the time I figured they had brushed us off and didn’t care. They ultimately ended up finding a BETTER vehicle for us and made the sale happen. Originally I would have never gone back after what had happened but because of the way they made it right and their dedication to make it right, we will be life long costumers. Not even a year since i bought my car. I do My oil changes here but not anymore. Over priced, Undervalued as a costumer!

Best experience I have had in a long time. And completely unexpected. I have to admit I assumed being strictly a used car dealership we all know the horror stories. Not to mention I typically deal with Mercedes of Fairfield. So my expectations were admittedly low. Boy was I shocked when I arrived. My salesman Milton was more professional than any sales professional I have ever dealt with at Mercedes. On top of that this place was super classy, super clean, super organized, and super friendly! I cannot begin to describe the absolutely amazing experience I had working with Steve M at J & M Automotive. I had a horrible experience with Carvana and ended up with no car to drive. Steve pulled out all the stops to get me into an even better vehicle with lower monthly payments in under 24 hours. I will never, ever purchase a vehicle anywhere else. My experience with J&M Automotive was amazing and a stress-relief experience to get a car! I had to get a new car since my first car was getting old and giving me a ton of problems. It was my first time buying a car and my student worker told me about J&M! So I got in contact with someone in J&M and they partnered me with Steven Magura. Steve brought me in and gave me peace of mind and completely understood where I was coming from. He gave me so much information but yet guided me on financing a car and helped me to secure a deal. Can't recommend J&M enough - Steve our sales guy was awesome, walked us through everything, answered all of our questions, and got us through the purchasing and pick up process within a matter of days. They have a great selection of vehicles, and they're open on Sundays which is a huge plus for people who work a traditional work week. The staff was pleasant. Clean establishment and easy directions to get to the dealership. My salesman kept it real in the regards to my financial situation. But, he worked out a good deal with some compromise. Im very EXCITED, with the anticipation of picking up my vehicle. There is a large selection of vehicles, low mileage and descent prices. So far, my experience is GOING very well. I don't like the fact the vehicle I picked and left deposit is still on the website?

I didn’t feel any pressure when deciding on a vehicle which was important to me. They found exactly what I was looking for within my price range. They also made sure all the maintenance was in tact. Awesome experience, Bill was an excellent salesman and I felt absolutely no pressure whatsoever. He let me take my time and also even made sure I was helped on his days off. The manager Brad is extremely friendly and everything went so smooth I was honestly surprised. In the end I now have a car that I absolutely love. 10/10 would recommend over any regular big brand car dealership. I have nothing but good things to say about this dealership. I had a pretty low budget for a car and even though J&M didn’t have a vehicle I liked the first time I visited, i decided to go back a couple weeks later because of positive encounter I had with the staff and ended up finding a car I LOVED. During my car search there were multiple dealerships that I waked out of because the car salesman were rude, not listening to me, being too pushy.. etc. However, Bill from J&M was nothing but pleasant to work with.. he was never too pushy about a car and after my first visit to J&M he contacted me when they got more cars in stock that fit my price range via. text. They also made my car buying experience very easy and I am now very happy with my vehicle. 5 stars !

As far as used car dealers go, they are pretty good. Steve was not pushy and was fairly helpful. He wasn't 100% truthful about everything and told me that they did not do any servicing (not sure why he said that). Keep in mind that when you buy a car, there is NO warranty, unless your vehicle has a total engine failure. In that case they will "do what they can" to help you. I found out after purchasing that the car was missing a 2nd key fob. Make sure you come prepared and ask about everything. I like the car that I purchased so far however I did not get a good price. Make sure that you do your homework and negotiate! After buying I realized that I paid at least $500 too much and got too little for my trade. But I can only blame myself for not negotiating properly. Overall I think they are pretty fair and the cars seem to be clean enough. They are however quite unorganized as I received a solicitation text from Megan about a week AFTER I bought a car there. I would probably go back, but would make sure that I was more prepared and ready to negotiate. I feel bad that I allowed myself to be overcharged and didn't get the best deal for my trade in. Update*** Going on my 5th vehicle purchase from this dealership. We have purchased a vehicle elsewhere once before and the customer service alone differs and i definitely will not be going anywhere else after comparing J&M to the "other guy" Just purchased my third vehicle from J&M Automotive. Bought a 2005 Grand Cherokee a few years back from J&M. My daughters 1st car. Took it home. Week later found a leak on the radiator plastic tube. Next day Jeep was taken to their service dept. they put in a whole new radiator. If the car lasted 2yrs my wife and I would of been happy. Last 3. I believe it was Ray who sold us her first car. Well gents & ladies. We are coming back today 6-11-19 or tomorrow. Ray? Up grade time. Police Officer 18 years now retired. These guys are good. We are retuning. As do our friends. Ok time to shop. I'm writing this review for my fiance. beautiful car no problems except a tire that looses air on a regular basis. ( our fault, we never called to tell them about it) friendly staff took a little while to get car, no big deal. The big deal and the reason for the the 3 star rating is the finance department. My fiance was put in a cubical and told sign here, here, here. Initial here and here and here. Being from the business I knew this was wrong, she explained nothing, when the woman left the room I told my fiance I bet she charged you for GAP insurance. When she came back in the room I asked her about the gap and why she never mentioned it, she said oh well I'm just coveringing and I thought they would of told you about it before. So apparently when you are covering for a coworker you get to deceive the customer. We then received papers from the bank showing they had charged us other fees we were unaware of, (which the bank removed from my account.) The moral of this story is you can trust their cars but their finance department is a little shady.

Meghan at the front desk along with Becky were awesome, very fast responses, got me in right away to speak with Dave the salesperson, not you're typical experience by far. Dave got right on my requests, was able to secure me financing within hours. He was honest, trustworthy and not pushy unlike many other dealerships in the state. Great experience here! I came down from upstate New York as J&M had a car I really wanted for a while now, and they were the closest spot. Seamless process. Didn't feel like I was pressured - not that I had to be sold too hard on the car, since it was flawless, and I really wanted one! Everyone was extremely professional and helpful, and quick to respond. I worked with Dave on the sale of the car, as well as Ken, and Cassandra. It was by no means the easiest process from them, as I had to transfer an out of state registration, as well as flip an upside-down loan onto the new car. Put down a deposit on the car and a week later, everything was ready to go - signed, sealed and delivered. Transferred registration came in the mail by FedEx Express two weeks later, just like they told me it would, right on time. As far as purchasing a car goes, I could really not have asked for a better experience. Great job by all!

Overall great experience. Every employee that we interacted with was extremely friendly and accommodating. We test drove 2 vehicles and ended up buying them both. As soon as they pulled them up I was happy. They both purred, they were both spotless , they both smelled great inside and most importantly they were priced well. We were able to drive one of the vehicles home the same day and the other one will be ready in a few days. I highly recommend this dealership. We bought our vehicles outright so I can't attest to how they work with financing, but if it's anything like the way we were treated you won't have any issues. Even if you aren't in the Naugatuck area I would recommend taking a drive to their locations. My girlfriend and I drove an hour and a half there and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Extremely satisfied.

Purchased my car about 18 months ago. My sliding doors back latch stopped working properly so we called Seth about it. He ordered the part and once it came in we set an appointment for the repair. 2 hours in and out and my door is done! AMAZING customer service all the way around from start to finish. Wife bought a car from this place, I looked the car over and it looked. I told her to make sure that they changed the oil and top off all the fluids except the brake fluid because the brake fluid looked to have been recently changed and the levi looked correct for the minimal wear on the brake pads. They went the extra mile and did a full brake job, pads and rotors all around, the brakes were fine but they did it anyway. Nice, I get to skate a few years without having to do a brake job on her car!

I went and looked around for the 2 cars that I saw in the website, found them with help from Sue and took it home a week later! It was funny because as I was looking another customer that was driving stopped to recommend and praise j&m for being excellent (which I already knew because I brought a family member here to purchase a car 3-4 years ago). And Sue (and Ken) was excellent, she was VERY helpful, so helpful that I brought my brother to her a couple of days later and he left with a car 2 weeks later. They weren't just any cars but cars that we actually wanted and were looking for. I loved the fact that there was no pressure when looking, they don't follow you around, they wait for you to approach them with questions. That was a plus for me,I would definitely recommend this place, they will not scam you or give you trash.

At the end of May 2018, my wife and I purchased a used 2012 Ford Escape Limited from J&M Automotive in Naugatuck Ct.. • During the test drive with our sales person Brad, I twice asked if the navigation maps were current and was reassured, that yes, they had been checked prior to our driving 2 ½ hours to see the vehicle and as discussed over the phone when we inquired about the vehicle. Upon purchasing the car and getting home, I became familiar with the car, and was able to access the navigation maps version and found that the maps are version 4 and that the current version is 10. • On 6/21 I called J&M and left a message for Brad about this and asking him to contact me. I never got a reply. • On 6/28 I again called J&M and was able to speak to Brad who remembered my inquiring about the maps and stated that J&M would order a current set thru their service group because it would only cost about $80, and that he would contact me with a tracking number when he shipped them to me. • On 7/5 I once again called J&M and spoke to Brad who now told me that the purchase had been approved and that it would be from Ebay and that he would contact me when he shipped the map discs with a tracking number. • It is now 7/19 and there has been no contact from Brad or any Map discs delivered. Also during the signing of the vehicles paperwork I found that J&M had charged us for a new car registration which we did not want because we were planning on transferring the current plates to the new car. After discussion it was agreed that we would transfer our current plates and that any difference between the transfer and the “new registration” fee would be reimbursed to us. After registering the car and emailing copies of requested paperwork to J&M we still have yet to receive the difference in cost. I did discuss this with Brad on 6/21 and was told that a check would be forth coming. As a result of a lack of resolution with J&M Automotive I have filed a complaint with the Connecticut Better Business Bureau (#12975558). UPDATE 7/30/2018 The Connecticut Better Business Bureau contacted J&M and after numerous emails with "Seth" from J&M, ALL issues have been resolved. Our thanks to Seth for personally handling the issues detailed above and expediting the refund and map update.

Hands down the best dealership I've ever worked with. Other dealers trick and scam you and are never transparent about everything. Not here, J & M was nothing but exceptional! They gave me $2500 more on my trade in then any other dealership, and not to mention they fixed everything on the car that I was not happy with. They reupholstered the arm rest and painted the tailgate where there was a terrible touch up job. Anything to make the car the car I wanted to drive home. What you also don't realize is that this dealership will give your car a full service before you drive it home. They have their own service department where they don't let you drive the car home till its been looked over fully and gets new tires brakes and rotors and oil change. That alone is over $1,000 value added right to the car and is all part of the price you pay. I can't write enough good things about this place, if you need a car go and ask for Brad, and you'll be in good hands!

My son had bought a 2014 Jeep Cherokee LTD from J&M in March 2017. Turns out that vehicle had some undocumented Jeep features that caused some big issues. In short, the car would shut down with no warning and lose power if the oil level reached a certain point (google this one). Anyway, after dealing with Chrysler unsuccessfully for almost a year, my son reached out to J&M to see if they could help him out at all....shortly after they contacted him and told said they could probably work something out with him. They did! They not only took back the Jeep but they worked out a deal for another car for him. Excellent customer care to say the least. Big Kudos to Brad and Seth at J&M!

I had a few vehicles in mind but wasn't sure what I would be approved for loan wise so I applied for pre-qualification thru their website. I was emailed back first thing the following morning by Seth, the sales manager and met up later on to see what would be the best car. Unfortunately at first, I had to turn down what I was offered due to the payments being too high. I happen to have no credit so it was unavoidable. I received a call about 20 minutes later with two cars that were perfect for me in price, etc. Long story short between Seth, Brad(my salesman), Ken(finance manager) and Doug(mechanic/salesman)--I was able to drive off with a car AND it's in my budget. Everything was explained to me in depth about the loan process and I was made to feel comfortable, not pressured to do anything I wasn't comfortable with or didn't understand. I will definitely be back in the future and I will refer J and M Automotive to all my friends & family!!

After spinning my car on the highway in the snow, I went in search of AWD. I wanted a wagon, which cut down my choices, but J&M had an Audi A4 Avant that fit my criteria. I emailed them and set up a time to come in. After about an hour drive, I arrive to find the A4 was already out front and on, waiting for me to test drive it. A few minutes in the car sold me. Rich was super friendly, knowledgeable, and fast at getting my info entered. He was upfront about everything and I never felt pressured at all. All told, I was out of there in an hour tops. The car was ready a few days later. They had put the car through a thorough inspection to ensure it was completely good to go. I went in for the paperwork, and it was done in a flash. They offered a warranty, but didn't pressure me when I decided to decline it. In about 30 minutes I had traded in my old car and was the proud owner of the Audi. Since my car is going to be registered out of state, I just have to go back for the plates once they arrive. One minor thing with the car cropped up. The rear wiper sprayer didn't work. So I emailed Rich, and just like that, he replied that when I go in for the plates, he'd get it taken care of. Cannot recommend J&M enough.

My car was failing and needed to get into something else quickly. The people at J&M automotive were extremely helpful. There was no pressure to purchase anything. No tricks, no gimmicks. Pricing is fair as is. Best car buying experience I have ever had. My salesman Seth was super easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and very patient;Easy going. My biggest surprise was, it didn't matter where I was in the building, or the lot, everyone wanted to help, never felt that reluctance, like it was their job and they had to, felt very genuine. Someone even came over to help me make a coffee, from the machine. I got exactly what I wanted, The car was taken care of and cleaned. And I was driving my new, used car the next morning. Seth Brown made looking for a vehicle stress free. He listened to what I was looking for without pushing something on me I wasn't interested in. He answered my questions and was very knowledgeable. Unlike a lot of sales people, Seth never talked down to me or made me feel stupid. He kept in touch with me every step of the way. This was my second vehicle purchased from J&M. My first one was 6 years ago. I will definitely return to J&M in the future and I hope Seth is still working there.

Came in, was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help. I told the salesmen, Vinny, about some of the cars I was interested in, that didn't work out. From that information he suggested another car which ended up being perfect, still test drove multiple cars, and drove the car I ended up buying more than once. They were extremely patient. Started detailing the car right away when I mentioned I wanted to take it home today. Excellent help getting financing, and coordinating with my insurance company. They even went to get me a full tank of gas. Great experience, great selection, great dealership!

Working with Brad and Jeff far surpassed any of my expectations with the experience that I had at J&M Automotive! Where do I begin... from the cordial and organized front staff that I spoke with.... to the simply effortless visits. Brad had me at hello with his friendly demeanor, his personable ways and most of all his HONESTY. On my first visit to test drive the vehicle I had only been there for 30 minutes, while in that time I was able to test drive the vehicle, go over some of the things that I was concerned with and also sign the papers to purchase the vehicle. In the busy world that we live in, people do not enjoy wasted time and I am overly thankful that Brad was so courteous of my time. From the moment we walked in and greeted by Sue, we felt right at home and had a great feeling about doing business with J&M. Their reputation precedes itself (we see their logo all over CT) and now we understand why. The experience was seamless, the staff professional and knowledgeable and we have nothing but great things to say about our experience there. We came, we saw, we conquered. Brad was easy to deal with. I've read some reviews that he's a fast talker trying to sell you anything. I can assure you that's not the case at all. He's no BS and extremely helpful. The application process was a breeze and the financing took no time at all. I was stunned at how quickly, efficiently, and painless the process was. Most people loathe buying cars because it's such a procedure and production that takes 4 hours, usually ending in tears. Well, of the three cars I've purchased from different states and different dealers- this was by far the most pleasant experience. Dare I say we had a little fun? Buying a car is a huge purchase, and they have an amazing inventory of stuff you may not have even considered before. My car is clean, in great shape, and for a fair price. Also Danielle at the desk is lovely and can help answer any questions you have- which is a breath of fresh air! I look forward to buying another car from you guys soon (but not too soon!)

I just picked up my Subaru STI and I had the best sales person hands down. Michael really eased my nerves. He was very knowledgeable about the Subaru. Wife bought a car from this place, I looked the car over and it looked. I told her to make sure that they changed the oil and top off all the fluids except the brake fluid because the brake fluid looked to have been recently changed and the levi looked correct for the minimal wear on the brake pads. They went the extra mile and did a full brake job, pads and rotors all around, the brakes were fine but they did it anyway. Nice, I get to skate a few years without having to do a brake job on her car!

Growing very tired of my 97 cavalier I've had for 11 years one day out of the blue I just had enough of it and said to my girl I wish I can get a new car!That same night she found J&M auto and actually woke me up out of my sleep and insisted that I check out this website they seem good,I kept refusing because I've had such bad experiences at dealerships.I finally stopped being hard-headed and just looked at the J&M website. I saw they had a 09 Dodge avenger a beautiful black SXT V-6 I didn't have to look no further I wanted that car.My girl kept on about let me leave an email about the car so they can contact you.Finally again I gave in and said UGH.... OK.Friggin 3 minutes later ken called me,man these guys move fast!He said how much u got down,when can you come down and do you wanna test drive it?? I said stuttering uhh uhh I can come down in about a hour I guess,he was just moving so damn fast I didn't know what to say?So we head down there from West Haven sweating like we're in a sauna on this beautiful hot as hell of a day in july cause my AC didn't work,my girl is eating ice and I'm drinking a slushy to cool us down,we crack up about it now.The whole ride there I'm just saying to myself this is a waste of time even though I have a pretty decent job,$800 dollars down,a trade in and a credit score of 610 which is like borderline fair still thought no way I'm getting that car.Got there and some guy named Brad like ran up to me and said your mike right I said uhh yeah,I didn't even walk in the friggin building yet!He says to me I'm about to get the car you wanna go for a test drive....sure I said.We didn't even really introduce ourselves yet?After the test drive he brings me in the office and says why you look discouraged so I say to him... I got bad luck with dealerships he says to me we make dreams happen my man I will get you this car.I was literally in his office for ten minutes next thing you know he's asking me to put a little down so he can hold the car for me.3 days later later he calls me and said u got approved the car is yours.One day I'm driving a 97 cavalier with 200,000 miles on it and with no plans at all or not even searching for a new car 4 days later I'm driving a 09 avenger with 76,000 miles on it.It was surreal.Brad and everybody who works at J&M auto are just awesome,great attitudes,friendly,so fast they will make your friggin head spin and they really try to help you as much as they can,excellent customer service!!!If anybody is looking for a car look no further they are excellent!So thank you J&M for helping me get a beautiful car that's been running great for a year and a half now!

I bought my car in 2014, A Chevy Impala it was a 2011, the experience I had at J & M was just awesome, the salesman couldn't have been nicer, they made me feel comfortable and at ease, I had no type of bad feelings, whatsoever, I didn't feel like they were just out to get my money, and after I purchase the car several weeks later I had an issue with a sensor believe was a oxygen sensor, I called them up and they told me to bring the car in the next day, I took the car in, not only did they take very good care of my car, they also took care of me, after they replacef the oxygen sensor they send me on my way, very pleased and extremely satisfied. they were the nicest people that you can never meet and this is from someone, (myself) who is real skeptical about car salesman, but to me it's a five-star place with five star people and I would go there again and again and I will also send people to their establishment! If you need to purchase a vehicle, you can't go wrong dealing with J&m, that's for sure, when it's time to get a new vehicle you can bet your bottom dollar that's where I'm going back to! I just want to say thank you to the awesome people at J & M's I actually felt comfortable you have a satisfied customer 4life! My experience with Steve and the rest of their staff was great when I went to J and M on a recommendation from a sales person from a local dealership in my town. I was looking for a used car with low mileage that fit my personal preferences. After explaining to a sales person what I was looking for, he told me that what I wanted wasn't going to be found easily at a new car dealership. To my surprise he then reffered me to the J and M website telling me how reputable they are instead of trying to have me wait on the possibility of a car turning up with them, since that ment he would be losing a buyer to another dealer it really spoke to the integrity and reputation of J and M. I was immediately impressed by the invintory they had in stock. They have something for everyone with cars in very many price ranges. Even though I was happy with what I saw I still didn't want to limit myself to the first place I came across. I continued to search all kinds of used car sites and went to different dealerships which turned out to be a huge waste of time. Most of them didn't have what I was looking for at a fair price and a few places which I won't name were extremely rude. I live a little ways away from J and M so I was immediately excited to see that the cars on the lot matched all the photos I had reviewed. I was able to browes around the lot without being hasseled before I went inside. I feel lucky to have had Steve M came and asked if I needed any help. He listened to my requests and then we narrowed it down to a couple of cars. He was very patient with me, answering every question that I had, which were quite a lot. Having knowledge about cars after attending school for automotive tech, I was very impressed with the condition of the cars that I got to test drive. The first car I drove brought out the young kid in me and was very fun to drive. However my most important requirement was to have the best after market warranty available and this particular car even though professionally modified and was in great condition unfortunately didn't qualify for the warranty. It would have definitely been an impulse purchace lol. After driving the VW GTI I was very happy on its performance, Steve also helped me make the right discision for what I wanted reminding me that I would be straying away from my requirements. Again, I can't stress on how good their customer service was. When we were ready to finish the paper work it was very hassel free, they even made sure I got the very best warranty available " YEAH ". They were able to get me in the car I wanted with an after market warranty while meeting all my requirements and staying within my budget. They serviced and detailed my car and had it ready for pickup in just a few days with it looking as if it just came off the assembly line. It was definitely worth the drive because I received the best assistance you could ask for from everyone that assisted me. They even picked me up so I could pick up the car asap. Because they knew how excited I was to get in and drive. Even their driver Anna was very friendly. They understand how to make you feel like family when you are there and I'm happy to be a new member of the J and M family.

Originally from the area, I've seen J&M grow over the years. The growth of this company never changed; they are Customer-focused, Professional and Knowledgeable. They have a fantastic selection of vehicles in a wide price range. The cars are serviced and detailed in-house and those savings are passed on to the customers. You won't be disappointed. Don't bother looking for a roadside deal, stop by J&M first and you'll save yourself a lot of time.

Bought a honda pilot a 4 years ago and its been a great car. they had the best deal on the vehicle we wanted and they gave me slightly more money for my trade in vehicle than other dealers offered. The only part of the whole deal that I didn't like was the added charge of "window vin etching." but when I asked them to remove the charge (since I didn't want vin etching) they kindly did. I am currently shopping them for another car and I look forward to making another purchase from them. I highly recommend this place. There was much less cheesy back and forth between me, the salesman, and the sales manager than I have experienced at other dealerships. They also did not force extra warranties etc down my throat. They offered me everything but I did not feel pressured.

This was my first time buying a car from a dealership and not off of crags list. As you can imagine I was a little nervous, as I've heard many horror stories. The sales team at J&M is amazing! They explained everything to me and broke it down. When I went to test drive the car I bought I gave them a list of things that I would like to see fixed and looked at. They did it no problem. Even after I purchased my car I called back about two things and even though it wasn't included in my 30 day warranty they offered to look at my car anyways because it was just purchased. The team here truly loves what they do and have excellent customer service skills. Would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. We will be back to get a car for my wife in the near future!

Purchase use 2013 Ford Explorer
My experience at J&M Automotive was the best I ever had a car dealership. I called the office and spoke to Brad on Friday, December 11th and asked him if the Ford Explorer was still available and he told me yes and he would have the car ready for me to check it out and test drive on Saturday December 12th. I go there around 10:15 a.m. and the SUV was there ready for me. Brad was so nice and knowledgeable about the other SUV too. After checking out the 2013 Ford Explorer and test driving and the professionalism Brad and staff show me I totally impressed with the service and how quickly to get me approved for the car. I also spoke to another couple who was buying their second car from the lot. They told me high dedicated J&M Automotive are so responsible to their customers. I would like to recognize Brad for making me feel so easy with purchasing the SUV. Brad is a very dedicated to the company and I will definitely recommend him to my friends and family when ready to purchase a car or suv.. Great experience at this dealership. Bill was absolutely the best salesman Ive worked with. Every question I asked was straight up honest. They dont budge on the price but you get what you pay for. Had the truck for 2 weeks and minor things came up. Eric & the service department were absolutely the best and fixed things immediately. Excellent service department and have already highly recommended this dealership to everybody I know.

I will be writing this review on every possible forum for J&M Automotive. I just bought my first car, and thus had my first car buying experience. I was recommended to J&M by one of my best friends who bought both of her cars here. Come to find out, my other best friend purchased her jeep here as well. It's very clear they get all their business by word of mouth, and deservingly so. From helping me find the car that fit my needs, to finding one within my budget, to the test drives, the paperwork, the registration transfer until I was handed my keys and drove off, this place is PHENOMENAL. Major thanks go out to Vinny, Jack, and Ken for not making this experience as frightening as it could've been! I will recommend J&M to ANYONE.

Used Outback
I bought a used Outback from J&M. We mainly worked with Steve Magura, but all the sales team were involved and thanks goes to the team. They were organized, professional, non-salesy, wanted to understand our needs and overall made the experience a pleasure. They also did a decent job of the service before we bought as well as taking care of some additional items on the car. I would happily give J&M automotive a 5 star rating. Car buying can be nerve wracking, but it was easy at J&M. We recently purchased another car at a large dealership in Willing ford and it was not a smooth experience. Derek had car ready as we got home. Very professional and a breeze to work with.

After a wait to pick up the car, it was worth it. I was treated quite well. Finance guy was great, and found us a good deal. Salesman was never pushy and responded to my inquiries. They went over the vehicle with me to make sure I knew how everything worked. Just need to bring it back when the mirror comes in.

My wife and found a Dodge Dakota 2005 at the website Auto Trader and it was with J&M automotive so we took a ride over, I had a 2011 Honda Pilot L-ex we negotiated the price an on the vehicle I wanted and came to a price that was firm, we left to drive home thinking about the price, my wife and I agreed on the price went back and the truck need a couple of things repaired and we did manage to get a little more for the pilot, Bill was very willing to work with us he was very polite and direct the told us tat they wanted to take into the shop and work on it to fix a tic in the motor, and balance the 4 wheels. I liked the salesman Bill Dewier and the process is a little different from what I am use to but I am going to trust the dealer until other wise all and all it was a good experiences thanks J&M see you in about a week to pick up our truck

Best Experience Ever!!!
I just bought a Jeep Compass and the whole experience was great! Mike, the person who helped me was great, very patient, and helped me and my mom with everything we needed. The car has been great so far and I have no worries or concerns because their cars are like new! Also, they have a great car insurance that covers all of the important and necessary things in a car. Like I said, it was a great experience and I would totally go back in the future because of their service, quality, and large inventory!!!

I recently bought a Ford pickup from J & M. The experience was top notch through the whole process. The pictures and descriptions of the vehicles were exactly right on. (Which was appreciated after we had driven over 100 miles to this facility.) They gave us plenty of time for test rides and discussion and never hurried us. Financing process was almost painless and the complex process of out of state plates was handled promptly and efficiently. When we picked up the vehicle everything was worked on that we had agreed upon. We would recommend this dealer without hesitation.

I can't express enough how amazing J&M is. As a single mother I was nervous about walking into a dealer alone and being taken advantage of. I met a sales guy named Vinny and he was by far the nicest down to earth man I have ever met. He took hours and hours with me picking out the perfect car for my son and I. Not once did he seem annoyed by my questions or made me feel like a bother. He told me honest opinions on the cars I test drove. Wither it was good or bad. I didn't feel alone anymore. My Husband and I are immensely pleased with the experience we had at J&M. Never has buying a car been so easy!!! Brad was an excellent salesman and everyone there was so nice. 2008 Mercury Mariner
After 5 weeks of shopping for a newer used SUV we found J&M automotive website. They had the largest and cleanliest looking inventory we'd found in our search. We picked out a few suv's that caught our eye and called. It took less than 1/2 hour for us to be approved for financing that would fit within our downpayment and monthly budget for a payment. We made an appointment, drove a couple suv's and took delivery of the Mercury four days later. It was delivered in showroom like condition, inside and out. We are HUGE fans and will make J&M our first stop when looking to replace our Toyota Highlander when it needs to retire. A special thank you to Kyle for helping us through the process on the phone, our sales person Bruce for your honesty, integrity and relaxed nature and Steve who completed the financing process with us. i recently purchased my 2nd car at J&M. For this car, 2007 Nissan Sentra I met with Sue who spent time with me after telling her what my requirements were. I let her know 3 yrs earlier i purchased a car and I had be 110% satisfied with the car. We talked about a couple cars, got into the Sentra, took it for a ride and gave her a depositi. i picked the car up a few days later and after a couple weeks i had 2 problems with it. Called Sue who got me in touch with Fred and Eric in the service dept. Brought the car back and this afternoon i picked up the car and its perfect! Sue stopped by to make sure the car was ok and yes it is. my thanks to Sue for being a professional salesperson (because we know there are many out there that you cant trust at all) and to Eric and Fred in service for the great job and follow up with the car. I was extremely pleased with the personalized attention that my daughter and I were given by the salesperson, Vinny, when we walked through the door. This was our first car purchase and we had many questions.He took the time to answer each and everyone of them. She told him what she wanted in a vehicle and how much she could afford. I recently bought 2 cars here and my experience was fantastic! I first made contact via the internet with Kyle who was extremely helpful and patient with my questions. I then worked with Bruce whom was a delightful fellow and went over both cars in great detail with me. We worked on the numbers and we reached an agreement that was mutually acceptable. Then I was off to see Ken the finance wizard who put everything together, explained all my options and warranties available in explicit detail. I should also mention that Bruce and I agreed on a few details with each car that I wanted either repaired, replaced or at least looked into, this is important, they never hesitated, everything was made right no questions asked, no fight no argument. This is the way every Car dealer should operate! I would recommend them to anyone and I most certainly will be back for my next vehicle! Hats off to J&M! Fast and Easy
This is the first time that I have dealt with J&M Automotive, but I decided to go with them because of all the positive reviews. I was looking to get a nice and reliable used car with no hassles and that is exactly what I found here. I worked with Vinny Petta and had a great experience from going in initially, test driving the car, getting financing and then picking it up and driving it home. He was very helpful and I felt as though he was being both honest and earnest when talking to me. Everyone was very friendly and relaxed as well and there was always a lot of laughter, it seems as though they really enjoy their jobs. Everyone I dealt with was organized and like I said, J&M made the purchase of my car painless for me. I recommend this place.

Would like to comment on how professional, clean and satisfying this auto sales dealership was. Louis Rodriguez was my sales person. Very thorough, followed up by phone call any and all questions I had. There was no pressure as a consumer to purchase. Test drove the car I was interested for my 16 year old daughter. All service was performed per our agreement. There was no hidden issues day of,pick up. Picking up the car went smooth. There showroom is spotless, and every one says hello. The day after picking the car up, we drove the car up to Boston, placing 300 miles on it.,,had no worries. The dealership did everything 5 star. Would highly recommend this auto sales dealership. Great car buying experience. Vinnie was very accommodating put up with all my little quirks. Also was very upfront when asked about different cars and what he thought. Never any pressure to sel. A True Professional
No sales gimmick no shroud quick talk or street hustle, just plain old professionalism and a hand shake. I had the bad experience of going to dealer after dealer from Connecticut, Westchester New York even all the way out in New Jersey. I simply did not meet a more straight forward and honest professional like (LOUIS) of J&M Automotive. I am not being paid by the owner or did I get a cut rate on the car to write this review. What I received was old fashion manner able courteous up front car buying experience with me and my wife. Louis was a breath of fresh air and the finance guy (Ken) was awesome as well. I highly recommend this dealer ship if you are in the market for a used vehicle. Even the manager was warm friendly and would just shoot the breeze with you as if he was an old friend. Fantastic experience
I just bought my first car here a few weeks ago and she's running fabulously! Vinny helped me find the perfect car in my (admittedly sparse) budget and Ken got me a great interest rate for a college student just starting to build her credit. Friends and family of mine have been gone to J&M to purchase and service vehicles for many years now. Naturally when it was time for me to purchase another car, I thought of them. Now, after working with them, I would never go anywhere else. I needed the car as soon as possible and I very was impressed with the efficiency in which the entire team worked. They are very honest and very friendly. I will only use J&M for my service needs. I don't easily give recommendations, but J&M gets my HIGHEST recommendation!

I had a wonderful experience at J&M! The sales staff (Kyle and Brad) were great to deal with. They were very patient with me when I had trouble deciding which vehicle would best suit my needs, and Ken in finance was able to get me a terrific interest rate (even though my credit isn't very good right now). While you know you need a new used car, or if you want a new used car, one of the biggest reasons for hesitating going to look at cars is the experience at the car dealers. Walking onto J&M's lot, and being greeted by someone like Sue makes those hesitations, concerns, and fears go away instantly. Sue was friendly, warm, honest, and professional beyond words. We bought two vehicle’s from J&M this year the 1st time we walked into the dealer we felt very comfortable no one attacked us, Vinnie came over and said when we need to talk to someone he would be around. We found the truck we wanted online prior to going to the dealer, so we asked about it he was very informative and we picked it up the next day. The 2nd truck was needed quickly so being that he was so professional the 1st time we went back we had the 2nd truck in 4 days this was over the holiday. Unbelieveable Experience
To start, J&M Automotive is over an hour away from us. So you could imagine the hesitation we had as it's not as local as we would have liked. From the minute the first call was made to them, Vinny caught our attention. There was no pressure and he was as open and honest to every question we had. This proved to be true when we arrived and it was his day off. We were met by Jeff, not by him honing in on us or by pressuring us. We test drove a couple of cars and there was not an ounce of pressure. Jeff was professional and friendly and voiced his opinion on what we were driving and was honest in answering a question with a statement of "well I'm not sure but I can ask the mechanic"..This even further anchored my trust in our experience..he wasn't pulling the wool over our eyes, he didn't answer our questions with lies, he even went as far as to say "I don't want to give you bad info" (This is something you don't get from a used car dealer) We chose a different vehicle then what we went there to look at, not by influence, but by the quality of the vehicles on the lot. Each one seemed to be better then the last one we looked at and drove. We were introduced to Ken In the finance office. Great guy, even with a couple credit issues we have,as smooth and quick as getting us financed was, by the time we finished with Ken, I literally said that was so easy I didn't even feel like we bought a car. No hassle, No haggle and professional staff. I wrote this huge review because I can honestly say that when we received the finished product that Vinny presented to us, I was beyond impressed. As we drove off the lot, and with almost twenty years of personal buying experience,I can honestly say we couldn't be happier. Our second vehicle will need to be replaced, and I will be coming back here to purchase, no question. Thank you J&M Automitive for the best honest car buying experience either one of us has had.

A standout dealership, salesman Vinny and finance person Ken. I made the process longer than it should have been due to indecisiveness and an unknown financial glitch. Huge patience by all at J & M until I was totally confident and comfortable with my purchase decision. The people are great (specifically the type of people you want to deal with), the environment inside and out on the lots is pleasant and inviting and the cars are priced to sell. Good deals abound. The difficult decision is which of the good deals to select. No pressure from Vinny, Ken or J & M. Instead an honest interest in making certain that the buyer is comfortable with the purchase before the purchase is made. Whether the people, the showroom, the ample and loaded lot or the practices of J & M (including willingness/encouragement to have the vehicle checked by the buyer's mechanic, vehicles priced to sell and significantly better deals than other lots, etc.), dealing with J & M, Vinny and Ken is a very positive experience. My next vehicle purchase will be at J & M. There is no reason to go anywhere else. Though I had never even heard of J & M prior to a late November or December 2012 start in checking out dealerships in Bridgeport and Milford and beyond to Naugatuck, no other deaership can match the used car inventory, pricing and experience. This place is a slam dunk. Don't waste time going anywhere else if you seek a used vehicle. You will not do better than J & M.

This dealership is Awesome! Theres nothing more that I hate doing than buying cars. J&M Automotive and Brad changed that completely. They're awesome to deal with. From the minute you walk in, you can tell its going to be different. The prices can't be beat and the experience is just simply awesome. My salesman Brad was laid back and easy to deal with. We did the 'small talk' thing and business at the same time. He was the best salesman I've ever dealt with!!! "No pressure sales" are priceless and thats what you get at J&M Automotive. I bought a 2005 Toyota Tundra from these guys and it was delivered to me in better than new condition. Ken was also easy to work with. He didn't try to force me into signing anything I didn't want. Ken and Dave were great to work with and in answering my questions. Never did I feel like I was inconveinence to them any time I called and they were quick and helpful in everything I inquired about. The car itself was a great deal and I am glad to have driven the 1.5 hours to J&M to purchase my car. Great Experience
After a long search, and bad experiences at other dealers, I found the car I was looking for at J&M. The 2004 Honda CR-V was exactly what I was looking for. I just purchased my 3rd vehicle from J&M last week and have had nothing but good luck with my vehicles from them. The only complaint I had in the past was the time I had to wait in between leaving deposit and actually picking the car up after being serviced, however, they have just moved into a bigger facility and this time the turnaround time was just one day. I came in on a Saturday looking for a car in a specific price range and ended up working with Paul who was very relaxed. He let me browse and I picked two cars that I liked, we got the test drive and chose the car that day. It was easy, efficient, and Paul even survived my dad's battery of questions (I am much more easy going). The car is great, although I have only had it for a fews days now. They even went out of their way to mail the paperwork to Boston overnight because I forgot to tell them that I was only in town for that weekend to specifically do car shopping. I ended up buying the insurance they offered as well (covering me for an additional 40k miles of everything since the '03 Honda I bought had under 80k original miles). All in all, very wonderful experience.
